You must act immediately to maintain the crispness and optimize the freshness of your marigold microgreens. Avoid crushing the stems because doing so may reduce their flavor and longevity.

It would be best if you only cut marigold microgreens an eighth of an inch below the soil’s surface, and then they should be spread out on paper towels to dry.

Pick up some dry paper towels and a sharp knife or scissors. On your countertop, spread out the paper towels in a single layer. Then, trim your microgreens to be an eighth inch above the dirt.

Once you’ve picked the whole tray of marigold microgreens, you can eat them immediately or put them in a cooler. Avoid getting your microgreens wet if you plan to store them because any moisture will reduce their lifespan.

How to Store Marigold Microgreens

You can store your marigold microgreens in a sealed storage container or bag. Your newly harvested marigold microgreens should be placed gently in a paper towel before being put in your storage container. Any moisture will be absorbed by the paper towel, keeping them fresher for longer.

Refrigerate right away. Put the tiny marigolds in your vegetable crisper for optimal effects and store them at 35 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Your microgreens will stay fresh for around two weeks if stored appropriately.
