Homemade air-fried sweet potato chips are a perfect afternoon snack. Less oil means fewer calories and fat. Great with a sandwich or wrap.

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 2 four oz servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (about 8 ounces) medium sweet potato
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash the sweet potato thoroughly
  2. Slice into 1/8-inch-thick rounds
  3. Place sweet potato slices in a large bowl of cold water
  4. Soak for 20 minutes
  5. Drain and pat dry with paper towels
  6. Return the sweet potatoes to the dried bowl
  7. Add oil, salt, and pepper
  8. Toss the mixture gently to coat
  9. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with butter
  10. Place just enough of the sweet potatoes in the basket to form a single layer

  12. Flip and rearrange into a single layer every 5 minutes
  13. Use a pot holder to pour the chips from the air fryer onto a plate
  14. Repeat with the remaining sweet potato slices
  15. Let the chips cool for 5 minutes
  16. Serve immediately and enjoy!
