Microgreens Growing Kits: My Favorites
So, I went looking for Microgreen Indoor Growing Kits. I found a couple that were usable and architecturally fit in your kitchen or other home space. I found low-tech and hi-tech versions: soil, paper, and hemp pad growing mediums. And I found varieties that fit everyone’s budget.
Here are two of my favorite Microgreens Indoor Growing Kits that I recommend if you want less mess but the same fun.
HAMAMA Home Microgreens Growing Kit on Amazon. Just like the box says, “30-second setup, just add water”, this growing kit is easy. Just add water once and light when ready. Rinse and repeat weekly.
Chef’n Microgreens grower on Amazon. From hi-tech to low-tech. This growing system is simple. Put the soil in the tray, sprinkle seeds, water, and cover. In 3 days, remove the top and add light.
HAMAMA Home Microgreens Growing Kit
The popular Hamama microgreens growing kits are an excellent gift for someone you know, or for yourself.
Hamama will send you a replacement kit at no cost or give you a full refund if the system doesn’t work.
What I like about the Hamama microgreens growing kit are the easy picture instructions.
No green thumb required.
It comes with a microgreens tray and a growing medium with seeds.
Something else I like is it comes with broccoli microgreens seeds.
They are the easiest, hardiest, and fastest-growing.
Just place the kit in the tray, water, and sit back and watch your microgreens grow.
You only need to add water once.
And you don’t need any fertilizers, special lighting, or a “humidity dome.”
If you want no hassle, no mess, just like Gramma, then I’d say the Hamama microgreens growing kit is a great choice.
Chef’n Microgreens Grower
This is as low-tech as it gets.
Well, not quite.
Read my blog post, “Growing Microgreens At Home in Containers,” for the low-low-tech version.
You’ll need a shopping bag.
But the Chef’n Microgreens Grower does the job for the price of 8 ounces of regular microgreens.
I like the very classy white tray, which comes with a Seattle Seed starter pack of soil and microgreen seeds.
You can reorder soil and seed from Seattle Seed.
The unit is small enough to fit on any windowsill or countertop.
Also included are detailed growing instructions.
